September 8, 2009 - This is documentation of my attempt to bring a bit more happiness into the lives of the people of the Czech Republic. Basically we passed through Wenceslas Square during my 3 hour break and ran into some sort of fair raising money for cancer research (we think… we didn’t fuly understand the Czech woman) but I got a balloon!

Anyway, it’s pretty much common knowledge that the people of the Czech Republic aren’t known for smiling. So since I remembered I had a sharpie in my bag, I drew a smiley face on it and left the balloon in a wire grid on a wall in Wenceslas Square. Kurt said they would probably just pop it, but I’m a bit more optimistic. So here’s to hoping I brought a smile onto at least one person that passed by my smiley face balloon.
